Rural Ledge-ucation #16: 4th of July W/The Goddess and Maxwell!
I must apologize for the lack of a Live Ledge post this past Friday. The beautiful and talented Goddess did indeed make it to the Ledge Studios, and we thought we put together a great high-energy, angry 4th of July primer. Unfortunately, there was a snafu at the conclusion of the show and the file was lost forever.
The Goddess returned to the studio this morning, though, and brought with her the perfect cohost. Four year-old Maxwell is a radio natural, and entertained the Rural Ledge-ucation listeners with his giggle and stories of his visit to South Dakota. Someday he make take over The Ledge empire!
The theme for today was also this weekend's holiday, albeit a much quieter and more melodic set of Independence Day tunes. Listen to it via the android/iPhone app, through iTunes, or grab a direct download here.
Here's the setlist:
1. Dave Alvin, 4th of July
2. Chuck Berry, Back in the USA
