Color Me Obsessed Is Coming To Sioux Falls!

The Reel Dakota Film Festival announced their lineup earlier this week, and I was rendered almost speechless to discover that Color Me Obsessed is the closing film of the festival. The film is slated to run on Sunday, October 23 at 7 pm, and director Gorman Bechard will be present for a Q&A after the screening. Oh, and by the way, alcohol will be served!
Anybody who has spent any time around me over the last 18 months has heard plenty about this wonderful documentary of the The Replacements. Don’t just take my word on the quality, though. Rolling Stone listed it as “one of the 7 best music docs of the year”, while PopMatters named it “one of the top 5 most anticipated music documentaries”. Just this past week, Spinner stated that it is one of the “best music docs of all time”, next to movies such as Gimme Shelter, The Last Waltz, Dig!, and The Devil and Daniel Johnston.
I’m warning everybody that for the next few weeks I’m going to be bugging ALL of my local friends to attend this feature. Seriously, even if you just want to point and laugh at my blubber for my five second cameo, you have to show up.

In other CMO news, tickets went on sale today for the New York City premiere on November 16 and 17. Besides the screenings, there are also special all-star Replacements tributes shows on both nights that include Brian Fallon, Charlie Mars, Danny Sage, Dave Hause, Don DiLego, Jesse Malin, Johnny T., Kevin Kinney, Alejandro Escovedo, Matt Romano, Matthew Ryan, Nicole Atkins, Steve Wynn, Tommy Ramone, Todd Youth & Willie Nile.
