Live Ledge #157: Threesomes
Get your mind out of the gutter. Despite the title of this episode, there's nothing tawdry or sexual going on here. This is a different kind of threesome that occupies this week's broadcast.
The inspiration for this playlist began two weeks ago during director Gorman Bechard's appearance. Talking about favorite bands, we both agreed that a truly great band has to have some point in there career where they had three classic albums in a row. Around that same time, my Rock and Walk series for the Argus Leader was utilizing the Rolling Stones catalog as my exercising soundtrack. Now that I'm in that sweet period of their career, it only seemed natural to curate a show around this concept.
I also took it to Facebook and Twitter, and received a ton of great suggestions for the show...and some great discussions on the merits of some of those picks. Tonight's show utilizes some of those choices, but unfortunately I couldn't fit them all in. If I did, the show would have gone on until tomorrow. I'd like to thank everybody that did help, though, as it was one of the more enjoyable live shows of recent memory.
