Live Ledge #229: Sophomore Surge
There's an old music cliche that says a band may have an entire life to write their first album, but they only have six months to write their second. It's partly due to this that the second record is an indicator if the act is going to last awhile.
Tonight's episode is a supersized look at some great sophomore releases, and much thanks have to go to my friends on Facebook and Twitter. They reminded me of some great material I may have otherwise ignored, and is a major reason why this show went to over 2 1/2 hours.
There is one issue, though. My broadcasting application was a bit "glitch-y" tonight, so there are a handful of spots where the songs stutter. Most of these troublesome spots are only a fraction of a second long, but there are a couple of times I had to stop a song in the middle. My apologies for these minor headaches.
