Live Ledge #297: 2007
After last week's 1997 show, I decided why not follow that same logic with a show dedicated to 2007? Surely that should be just as easy to put together.
Actually, though, it wasn't. My tastes have greatly changed since that year, and a number of records I used to love just don't work for my anymore. For example, I'm pretty sure that Arcade Fire's record of that year was near or at the top of my list. Ten years later, I don't really care. That was the case with a number of records that are still sitting in my iTunes library.
Yet I didn't really have any trouble filling up the two hours of this week's Live Ledge. I always have more music than time, and this week's lineup is much stronger than I anticipated.
