Live Ledge #224: RIP David Bowie
Waking up on Monday to discover that David Bowie had died was one of the most shocking moments in recent memory, and I wrote about this earlier this week. Tonight's episode features a lengthy segment that includes not only some of his great songs, but a bit of the production work he did for other artists such as Lou Reed and The Stooges. There are also clips from the bizarre episode of the UK's Celebrity Big Brother from this past Tuesday when David's ex-wife, Angela Bowie, was informed of his death.
Along with the Bowie material is part two of our theme celebrating great track ones from favorite albums. This theme went so well that next week we'll be doing it again! If you have any ideas on some tracks to air, please leave some comments on what you want to hear.
