Live Ledge #294: New Releases

Once again, a new month brings us tons of great new music. There's also the return of artists that have not released anything of merit in years. Case in point is the new album by former The Only Ones' leader Peter Perrett. A drug addict for decades, Perrett reportedly was close to death a few years ago. Clean and sober for five years, Perrett is back in the spotlight with his great new album, "How the West Was Won".

There's also returns by Sebadoh's Jason Loewenstein, Steve Earle, Rancid, Cheap Trick, and Waxahatchee. New bands worth noting include Skip Church, Thee Wylde Oscars, and Lost Balloons. There's a couple of reissue sets including long-lost material by both of Big Star's leaders (Alex Chilton and Chris Bell), and Dion's attempt to put together his own Dylanesque set of songs.

Grab this via the usual methods, including the player on the left of this page, or via iTunes or Stitcher. Or...

There are hints that the Replacements are putting out something in the near future. A live archive thing, maybe? Whatever it is you know that Live Ledge will devote lots of time to it!
