Live Ledge #335: New Releases

The first Friday new release show is my continued desire to prove to everybody that there is always great rock and roll being created. This June edition is no exception, and is dominated by an extremely fantastic lineup of albums that came out on May 18. Seriously, that day was almost like Christmas for us lovers of indie rock.

There's so much new music that once again this show goes into overtime. Personally, my highlight of this month's edition is the return of Damian O'Neill. Don't know who he is? Well, he was the leader of The Undertones, the great Irish band that created one of the great pop-punk songs of all time, "Teenage Kicks". O'Neill, along with his band the Monotones, has a new record, "Refit Revise Reprise" that's every bit as compelling as the great music he made with not only The Undertones but also That Petrol Emotion and other groups who were graced by his presence.

It's quite a fun listen, and hopefully everybody discovers a track or two they've never heard before! You can find this show at almost any podcast site, including iTunes and Stitcher. Or...
