Live Ledge #269: Best of 2016

As I do every December, I spend a few days surrounded by piles and piles of records, CD's, and an electronic device or two. The great debates of these days are all inside my head - Bowie or Lydia? Cheap Trick versus Bun E. Carlos? Whiskey vs. wine? Oh wait, that's a Day Drinking debate.

With a giant headache, I inevitably come up with an article or two that details my 40 picks for this year. You can find mine HERE! I also created a shorter list of reissues, box sets, and other catalog type releases HERE!!!

Tonight's show is a Casey Kasem-ish countdown of my 40 favorite albums of the year. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, only 32 of my 40 made it to air. For the most part, I deleted the more well-known artists (Radiohead, Neil Young) and/or quietest material (Jayhawks, Wilco, Leonard Cohen). But the 32 that are presented are in the reverse order they appear in my article. So yes, David Bowie's "Blackstar" is what I believe to be the best album of the year.

As always, grab this from the usual sources, including iTunes and Stitcher, and please go read my articles. In fact, read them right after you...
